THE QUEEN

This movie is based on Princess Diana's death and the effects it had on the royal family and the people of Britain. The movie stars Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II and Michael Sheen as Prime Minister, Tony Blair. This was actually a very eye opening and thought provoking movie into the protocol of Britain's royal family. Helen Mirren did an excellent job of portraying Queen Elizabeth II and what she went though as the tragedy of Princess Diana's shocking death. The movie delved into the more personal feelings that the family must have been going through only to be regulated by the protocol of the royal family. It also goes behind the scenes with the talks between the Queen and Tony Blair to mourn the death and yet follow standard protocol. A very good movie in my opinion!
